Physiomat Pelvic Support Belt
The Physiomat sacroiliac support belt (Tonic and Comfort) is a product designed for expectant mothers, especially those who spend long hours standing. The belt offers unique comfort during pregnancy and even after childbirth.
Unlike traditional lumbar belts, which immobilize the spine and provide passive support, the Physiomat belt stabilizes the sacroiliac joint and promotes sacral counter-nutation. This action leads to a reduction in hyperlordosis, self-elongation, re-centering of the center of gravity, modification of foot support, improved stability, and increased distal strength (results confirmed by scientific studies).
Straightening the chest and correctly positioning the sternum frees the diaphragm, making breathing easier and improving blood circulation. The spine realigns, the back muscles strengthen, and the forces exerted during physical activity are transmitted effectively to the sacrum rather than to the lower abdomen and urogenital hiatus.
Far from being a simple passive support, the Physiomat belt actively engages the back, abdominal, and pelvic muscles.
It is fastened horizontally around the pelvis—at the sacroiliac joints at the back, and just above the hip joint and pubic symphysis at the front. It is worn over clothing, without the need to undress.
Two widths are available to suit different body types, with a single size circumference:
- Physiomat Tonic: for athletes, smaller women, and men with pubic symphysis pain.
- Physiomat Comfort: designed for very mobile pelvises, hypermobile individuals, or those with fuller hips.
