The analgesic action of the three therapeutic substance of the Vitarub (the menthol, methyl Hydroxybenzoate and cineole) will help relieve the muscular and articular pain and stiffness, as well as the neuralgias caused by a distorsion, a muscle soreness, a lumbago, a nervous tension, a cold or an extended confinement. It contributes to increase the blood surge locally, which causes to relieve the congested area.

The methyl hydroxybenzoate will be partially absorbed and will produce a topic analgesic effect that will calm the pain.

The menthol has anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties. It is otherwise used to relieve minor irritations of the throat or as a decongestant of the respiratory tract and sinus. It is also a local anaesthetic for minor pains such as cramps.
