History of the company
Recognized since 1986 for selling and servicing medical imaging equipment in Quebec, Medical Tronik Ltd has become to this day an enterprise proposing a vast range of products, covering the majority of Canadian medical fields and most specifically in the province of Quebec. Our reputation is not only due to numerous market diversifications and to our employees' know-how, but also to our will to satisfy our customers by offering the best products possible, at the best quality/price ratio, while benefiting of the most personalized service.
In 1996, Medical Tronik diversified its sector of activities with the acquisition of Chirobec and Physiomonitor, specializing in the chiropractic, physiotherapy and veterinarian field.
In the following years, many partnerships have been established with different Canadian organisations, in order to give more visibility worldwide and allowing a better purchasing power in the radiology field. The MTM Group was officially born in 1999, assembling 12 offices all throughout Canada.
In 2000, Medical Tronik widened once again its sector of activities in obtaining Maison Perrier, specializing in geriatrics. This acquisition gave us the opportunity to emphasize our presence in hospitals and healthcare establishments.
Always trying to increase our visibility in rehabilitation, in 2001 we acquired the assets of Oris Medical.
In 2005, Medical Tronik officially positioned itself as a leader in Quebec and a major league player throughout Canada, as a medical equipment and chiropractic supplier, buying the assets of the company Med Orcomp.
In 2007, we have been chosen by Carestream Health Canada Company (formally known as the Kodak Health Group) to be their exclusive Channel Partner for the Province of Quebec for all digital imaging products including CR, DR, PACS and RIS systems. This agreement will enable us to offer premium quality digital solutions to the public and private health care systems in Quebec.
Since 2009, we have increased our presence in hospital care and long-term by becoming a distributor of Waverley Glen (motors and lift patient). In 2011, we enhanced our service in these industries by providing Linet products (general purpose beds and intensive care).
In 2012, the company has grown once more by purchasing Cryonic Canada, hereby becoming the exclusive distributor Of Cryonic NeuroCryoStimulation in Canada and in the US. This new breakthrough treatment option through thermal shock, entails many advantages both for the patients and helthcare professionals.
Also in 2012, Medical tronik continued its growth spur when they concluded the acquisition of Physabek, a company specializing in distributing sport's medecine and physical rehabilitation equipment. MTM has therefore ascertained its position as a key player on the Canadian market thanks to its common front.
